Possible Names: these are the names we are thinking of for our short film.
No Interactions With Surroundings: we are using a technique in The Sixth Sense where the main character invents a reality so she cannot effect reality as she isn't really there.
- Take Care
- Fragile
Use Of Colour: again a technique used The Sixth Sense to distinguish the woman from the reality.
- Woman doesn't touch her drink
- The chair she is sat on does not move
Topics of Conversation: we want the conversation to be as he imagined it would be if they actually met up that night.
- The pub/bar in dull/bland colours
- Contrasting colour for woman's clothing (Purple? White? Blue?)
Only 3 Speaking Parts: we only want 3 main parts because there isn't enough time to introduce more characters.
- Work?
- Future?
- Life?
Symbolism: we want to use flowers as symbolism for what the man is feeling.
- Man
- Woman
- Bar tender - doesn't interact with the woman
Camera: we want to try something you don't really see in TV drama, but often in Sitcoms.
- Woman will be called Violet and wear a blue dress to represent Blue Violets which symbolise faithfulness
- Man will order Red Spider Lily's for funeral which symbolise never to meet again/lost memory/abandonment
Sound: there will be sound at the beginning whilst the company, film title and actors names are shown and at the end when the credits running.
- Multi camera set up - shoot the whole thing in one take reduces continuity errors
- Range of shots, e.g. Medium shot, Close up, POV shot and Pan shot.
- Nathan Crossley
