Inside Out - An Analysis

Inside Out by Tom & Charles Guard

Thought I would just do a quick analysis of this amazing short film by the guard brothers.

The film follows the relationship of two strangers, a man taking surveys on the streets and a woman working in a shop window. It addresses the unstable nature of love and relationships, suggesting that one minute, love and friendship is present, and the next it's gone.

I feel this is relevant as in our project we're trying to show memories of a dying relationship. I feel this production achieves this very well, particularly through the use of music that ties in with the mood of the characters. I also like the use of metaphor in this piece, and the cryptic nature of the reality created.
